It is not perfect, but it is perfect for us…

We found this lake cabin in 2011; it was in foreclosure. Our lake house was originally just a weekend place, but now it is our permanent home. Purchasing this lake house was the beginning of many do-it-yourself projects and still remains a labor of love.
Neal and I are lifelong learners and doers. We are brave when it comes to DIY projects. We look at pictures (I love Pinterest), do some research, and dive in! We break large projects into smaller projects and watch a lot of YouTube videos along the way. Neal has a real eye for renovating a house. He can see what is possible. We have made plenty of mistakes and sometimes have to redo some work, but we eventually figure it out. Working on projects together is one of the many ways we spend time together. We also enjoy the end result.
We are not particularly trendy and our home will likely not be written up in a famous magazine, but it is a special place to us. We host most of our extended family gatherings, which fills our home with laughter, love, and special memories. Please view our pictures, learn from our successes and mistakes and enjoy our journey!
